Citizens Academy

The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office is now offering enrollment in our 20th, semi-annual, Sheriff’s Citizens Academy.

This session will run from September 14th to November 16th. Classes will be held every Tuesday night from 6:30-8:30 PM at various locations in Carthage, Mo.

Participants must be 18 years of age or older, have no felony or serious misdemeanor convictions. There is no cost for participants.

Participants will be introduced to the challenges faced by law enforcement and learn about why we do what we do. Participants will receive hands on training and will take the role of a Deputy Sheriff in training simulations.
